MGONTO CHAMPIONS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IN IKUNGI

Parents and guardians in Ikungi District have been urged to enroll their children in kindergarten to build a strong educational foundation from an early age.

The call was made by the Member of Parliament for Ikungi Constituency, Chief Thomas Mgonto, who served as the guest of honor during a support distribution event for vulnerable families held at the Anglican Church in Ikungi.

Speaking at the event, Chief Mgonto emphasized that early childhood education plays a vital role in shaping a child’s future. He noted that kindergarten helps children develop essential skills such as communication, confidence, creativity, and social interaction, preparing them effectively for primary school and beyond.

He further encouraged parents not to view early education as optional, but as a crucial investment in their children’s success and the long-term development of the community and the nation at large.

During the event, various forms of assistance were provided to families in need, reflecting Chief Mgonto’s compassionate leadership and continued commitment to improving the lives of Ikungi residents. Community members expressed appreciation for his hands-on

leadership and dedication to ensuring that every child has access to quality education.
The event delivered a clear message: investing in early childhood education is investing in the future of Ikungi and the nation as a whole.
